Gokusen the Movie

Our favorite manga series Gokusen will be in theater soon. The film’s trailer is already streaming on the official website of the movie (http://gokusen-movie.jp/index.html). This live-action theatrical film was based on Kozueko Morimoto’s Gokusen school comedy manga. Yukie Nakama, 29-year-old, we known her as Kumiko “Yankumi” Yamaguchi, the high school teacher and belong to yakuza family. The film will be the finale to the three successful seasons of Gokusen. The director was Toya Sato and he was assisting by a veteran director Junya Sato. Other cast of the film was the actors also we saw in television series.

Shun Oguri, Yuma Ishigaki and Hiroki Narimiya from the first season (hoping that Matsumoto Jun was there lol). Kazuya Kamenashi, Mocomichi Hayami, Teppei Koike(my favorite) and Keisuke Koide from the second season. This story will revolve to the students from the third season, namely Haruma Miura as Ren Kazama, Yuuya Takaki as Yamato Ogata and Yuta Tamamori. I’m really excited to watch this movie. I’m a Gokusen fan from the beginning, so I can’t wait to see this film.

“Up” (2009) Film

I’m so excited to this film “Up”. I saw the trailer of this film when we watched Angels and Demons. Very cute and I think it was a funny movie.

“Up” is a computer-animated film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures. It is about an old man and a boy scout who flies to South America in a flying house suspended from helium balloons (very interesting). This is directed by Pete Docter’s also the director of Monsters, Inc. The film was released on May 29, 2009 in North America and it will be released in United Kingdom on October 16, 2009.

It features the voices of Edward Asner as Carl Fredricksen, Jordan Nagai as Russell, Bob Peterson as Dug and Christopher Plummer as Charles F. Muntz.

Sandara Park, no regrets!

Sandara Park has no regrets in leaving her showbiz career in the Philippines and tries her luck to Korea. She said to her interviews that she was promoting as an entertainer in the Philippines, but she took the bold step and went on as YG trainee. But she has no regrets about not being able to continue her entertainer career in the Philippines.

Being a YG trainee, she have no guarantee for debut and for success but because she has a dream of becoming a Korean entertainer, she worked hard for it. Because of her experiences as an artist in the Philippines, it gain interests and KBS introduced her in one of the programs. She lives in Korea and trained for 3 years before debuting as 2NE1.

2NE1 is an all girl group in Korea and also dubbed as the girl counterpart of Big Bang. Hip hop songs and hip hop dance is their main forte. Sandara prepared for this one, she worked hard for it. She kept listening to hip hop music and learn hip hop dance to have this hip hop vibe.

She also answered the questions about her sexy photos taken here in the Philippines. She said that the photoshoot concept turned out to be different from what she thought. Plus back then the atmosphere to the shoot was serious; she thought she could not run away from it. And with that she did a ‘sexy’ pictorial.

I hope that Sandara will become successful in Korea. I know she can do it because she works hard for it in able to achieve her dream. This will be the start of her dream career in Korea. She belongs to Korea and she’s more comfortable in working there. So, good luck to Sandara Park!

Lindsay Lohan look-a-like…

While browsing different internet sites, an article and the photo caught my attention. The girl on the photo was look a lot like Lindsay Lohan. I found out that this girl’s name was Chloé Wang, a teenage singing phenomenon hailing from Chicago, U.S.A. She’s a Chinese American, her father was a Chinese and her mother was an American. She has a very first single “Uh Oh” and she’s been recording in Beijing and has already performed in Chengdu. Because of China’s bigger market they will allow an increase of Chinese Americans talent to pursue their dreams there.

Back to School ‘09

The long summer vacation is over. Beginning June 1, 2009, classes will resume. Does the students already prepared in going back to school? Or they feel that the vacation was too short? Whether they like it or not, next week is the opening of classes. Some kids completed their things ahead of time but other students only buy their school supplies when the date of classes is already near. They are expecting that the date will be move because of the A-H1N1 virus but the Department of Education confirmed that it’s final. All of the schools are doing their job to protect the students from the said virus. Cleaning of rooms, places and environment are the main factor. They must also practice some safety measure to avoid the spread of virus. The schools must prepare masks in case that there’s already a victim of this virus. The number of people having this H1N1 is rising here in the Philippines. Department of Health said that they’re doing their best to stop the spreading of it. They also said that in able to avoid it we need to make our resistance strong by taking vitamins, regular exercise, eating nutritious foods and proper hygiene. Anyways, students must prepare in going back to school again. I can say that the first week of school is very hard. There’s a lot of adjustment going on. Especially on first day, you will encounter new faces, new rooms, new teachers and new lessons. But I think it will only take for a week, on the other week you’re adjusted already. Just take a deep breath when you walk through the door (I got this line on Taylor Swift’s song “Fifteen” lol) of your new classroom. Relax and be confident! Good luck to all the students!
