Our Tagaytay Trip

April 1, 2010

Few weeks ago, we went to Tagaytay for an overnight swimming. We planned to have a little escapade from the city to release some stress due to everyday work. Actually the original plan was in Hundred Islands, Pangasinan but it didn’t push through because of some reasons. It sounded so weird that were having an overnight swimming in Tagaytay, a high place and known for its cold temperature. But we had so much fun and the place was so peaceful, we felt like we owned the place even just for a night. The owner of that rest house was my Aunt and because of that we got a discount. Early in the morning we got a chance to do some extra activities like playing basketball and picture taking to capture moments. But our trip doesn’t end there, we also went to picnic grove and we’re able to see the views of the beautiful Taal Lake. It was tiring but worth it.

I know this has been late but I just want to share what happened to Jason Castro’s tour here in the Philippines. Jason Castro belongs to Season 7 of American Idol, an early favourite for that season and he was able to get through and went 4th placer. This dreadlocked, blue eyes hottie came to the Philippines and conquered the hearts of the Filipino fans especially the girls with his new song “Let’s Just Fall In Love Again” in his album “The Love Uncompromised” actually been played already to all the local radio stations.

Jason said that Philippines were the last stop for the international tour. Sponsored by Ayala Malls, he performed in Trinoma Mall last March 18, Glorietta – March 19, Ayala Center Cebu – March 20 and the last show was in Market Market – March 21. There are also some radio tours in Mellow and Magic 89.9. He was already married 2 months ago and he was asked about the proposal. He answered that the proposal was like a fairytale, a Beauty and the Beast theme to be exact. Because he wanted her girl to be like a princess and he also mentioned that her wife really likes colour yellow. Among the other contestant who’s really close to him? At first he had a safe answer that all of them were close but finally he said Archie (David Archuleta).

I haven’t got the chance to watch any of his shows here in the Philippines but I heard that the response of the fans was really amazing and malls were jam packed. I thought that I’ll be able to watch him in Glorietta but because of our overtime at work it didn’t happen, the only scene we saw was the stage being removed and no glimpsed of Jason Castro. I just saw some videos in youtube and I might say that it was a successful tour for Jason Castro

After a long wait for this band to have a concert here in the Philippines, Paramore did a one night concert last March 9, 2010 at around 8:30 pm in Mall of Asia Concert Grounds. Fans were gathered at the venue ahead of the said concert time to find a good place and much better view. Teens, teens at heart and everyone who loves the music of Paramore were there to witness this once in a lifetime concert and jam packed performance of the band.

Before the Paramore hit the stage, Calla Lily performed first. They served as a front act for the concert. I must say that they’re good and they did a great job. They sang they’re popular songs like Stars, Susundan and people love to sing along with them.

And then it was Paramore. Hayley Williams wore a Nike Blazer, Leopard Pants and a Thrilla in Manila Shirt. She really rocks that night and I’m amazed on how good this girl on stage. Paramore sang 10 or 13 songs I’m not sure the exact number and all of it were their hit songs. Hayley was so happy especially when the crowd were singing along with her.

The concert was awesome, although it just took only one and a half hour, such a short time but I got to say that it was a strong hour, never a low power. Hayley gave an equal energy in each of every song. This girl got a lung power behind her small and petite body. She’s all over the stage, jumping, running, bumping, screaming and still gave a same level of energy in every performance.

Some of their songs that they performed on the concert were That’s what you get, Ignorance, Decode, Only Exception and the last song was Brick by Boring Brick. I watched the concert by myself and even though I was alone I really enjoyed it. No disappointment at all and it was one of my experiences that I’ll never forget. The concert was a huge success and Paramore concert was one of the best concerts I’ve ever watched.

Music Fest 2010, A Blast

February 7, 2010

I’m really happy that I witnessed such a powerhouse show and amazing concert. Music Fest happened yesterday February 6, 2010 at Mckinley Hills Taguig. Such an amazing acts were showed. From the acoustic heartthrobs Boyce Avenue, to the America’s Best Dance Crew Champion Jabbawockeez up to the American Idol Season 8 winner Kris Allen. I really can’t stop myself in screaming especially when the Boyce Avenue sang their version of bleeding love of Leona Lewis mixed with apologize by One Republic. Of course, my boys Jabbawockeez gave a heart stopping performance through their new and old dance routine. And Kris Allen, who will not be fall in love to his voice and charisma. I really love all his songs and no doubt that he’s really good.

The concert was a blast and really a big success. Congratulations to all the sponsors, Fearless Productions, Channel V, MMI and etc. We really enjoyed the concert eventhough I got home so late it’s so worth and very memorable. I hope they produce many concerts like this. Congratulations and i’m looking forward for the next concert.

Jabbawockeez at the Airport

February 3, 2010

January 29, 2010 at around 6:00 AM, Jabbawockeez arrived at Philippine International Airport. For the second time around the crew will be having a show here in the country but in a much bigger venue together with Kris Allen and Boyce Avenue. The show will happen on February 5 in Cebu and February 6 in Mckinley Hills Taguig. They are already part of ABS-CBN Kapamilya and will do some shows here so they will stay here for about 2 months.

I’m really a big fan of this group, i’m at the airport when they arrived. Skipping at my work was really worth because I got an autograph to the 4 of them but still not completed. My mission is to make them sign on the scrapbook I made and it will really make me feel great when it happens.

Been busy…

January 23, 2010

I haven’t updated my blog this past few days because of overtime at work. For almost 3 weeks of going home late and spending 12 hours in the office, I have no time to do some other things. I was able to open my laptop just every Saturday and Sunday only. But I promise and will make sure that on February my blog will be active again and post interesting news.
